With the objective of a Women's Hockey
League, with a much stronger business model, solid
franchises, and strong ownership in appropriate markets,
the committed ownership from the former NWHL eastern
division have made both a strategic and positive move to
improve the product by stepping back to ensure a full
feasibility
study goes into the building of a viable Professional
league with a business model that ensures both on ice
and economic success while creating a national footprint
for Women in professional hockey.
An important benchmark in the process to bring
high-level professional women’s hockey to North America
is in hearing from you the fans. Important partnerships
will be created with the communities that entertain and
play host to these teams as well as minor, junior,
senior and pro hockey. As a result we would ask that you
take 5 minutes to be a part of this process and answer
some important questions regarding the future of Women’s
professional Hockey. It is an opportunity for you to
have a strong voice in the findings of the study.
